Seminole Player of the Week
Gordy Reid #43
Position: Rover

Gordy Reid is a graduate of Redwood High School in Marin County who sucessfully walked on to the FSU football team in the Fall of 2000. He has played strong safety and punt block, and this, his senior season, he will return as a Rover on special teams and kick off return. When Gordy transfered to FSU, he played Rugby, but missed football and had to go out for the team. His favorite memory on the field is from last season during the North Carolina game, his first time playing in Doak. North Carolina was punting from their own 20 yard line and from his position on the field, he could see his brother in the stands. This season he is looking forward to playing at Notre Dame and also the Maryland game when his parents, Kelley and Mary Reid (members of the SF Seminole Club) will see him play live for the first time. Off the field, Gordy is a double major in Marketing and Multi-National business. He will graduate this December and is considering law school or pursuing his MBA. His favorite establishments in Tallahassee are Ken's and Yanni's.
